Entrance
There is parking for two cars in the lane beside the back yard of Badger Cottage. It is clearly labelled Badger Cottage Parking. There is a small sloped step into the enclosed yard of Badger Cottage front door. There is a small granite step with a wooden doorstep on the top, which leads into the lounge.

Downstairs
The kitchen/dining room and lounge are all placed on the same level. Stairs to bedrooms and Shower. There are five steps to a half landing then eight more steps to the top. Upstairs
All the rooms are on the same level.

Back door.
From the lounge there is a stable door with a wooden step on the top of a granite stone-this goes down to a level area which then takes you to three steps up along a small path to the gate leading into the garden area. It is possible to access the garden from the side near the parking spaces where there is a garden gate leading onto a small grassy slope into the garden, so avoiding the steps.

Swift cottage.

Entrance
There is parking for one or two cars at the front of the cottage beside the stone wall. It is clearly labelled Swift Cottage Parking. The front of Swallow Cottage is enclosed by a stone wall which has the entrance at the side of the cottage.

It is possible to park at the side by the porch to unload luggage, but preferable to park after this, at the front, as access may be required to the field near the cottage. The porch door has a step into the porch with a metal runner at its base. Once in the porch there is a small granite step into the cottage, which includes a wooden strip along the base of the door.

Downstairs
The cottage is open plan downstairs, with lounge, dining and kitchen areas all on the same level. Stairs to bedrooms and bathroom .There is one step onto a platform and the eleven steps up to the top where all the rooms are on the same level.

Back door.
Beside the kitchen area is a door leading into the back patio/garden. There is a wooden door strip on a granite step which takes you down to a level area then 3 steps up onto the patio. There is an exit from Swift patio at the side. (This is mainly used by the proprietors to empty the bins of Swift cottage)

Swallow Cottage

Entrance

There is an incline, 40 inches wide, between two garden walls, up to the front garden and door of the porch. The porch door has a step into the porch with a metal runner at its base. Once in the porch there is a small granite step into the cottage, which includes a wooden strip

A well defined path

The woodland walk has a definite path with areas of long and short sloped up/down and sloped to the side along its route. There are patches of mud, leaves, grass and stones along the way.
There are steps which lead into/out of the back field, but which can be avoided by an alternative route. It is advised to wear walking boots or wellingtons during the winter or wet periods.
